RANGE THANKSGIVING TABLE
Thanksgiving is my favorite. I love the low pressure holiday that is rooted in gratitude and gratefulness.
Choosing the look and feel of the tablescape is my favorite task, with menu selection a close second. This Thanksgiving, I decided to let nature be my guide for the tablescape. Throughout the fall, the children and I foraged and found many treasures that were perfect to incorporate. A birds nest was found outside a friends business, several old wasp nests were found attached to the door of our double-sided outhouse, and a beautiful mossy oak branch with acorns still attached was foraged on a country road during a drizzly Oregon afternoon celebrating my dad’s 70th. I tossed in some juicy red Anjou pears and shelled nuts for more texture. Finally, I was able to use my favorite pewter Vagabond House napkin holders stuffed with handmade linen napkins and Arte Italica pewter rimmed dinnerware. I am slightly obsessed with the beauty of the natural, inexpensive, and striking centerpiece. Now…on to meal prep!
