THE EASTER TABLE

To me Easter is a holiday that means Spring has arrived. While that still includes an occasional snow storm in Wyoming, it also means that the Easter bunny will make an appearance, we will go to Church, have an Easter egg hunt, and sit down for an afternoon supper of ham. This year our Easter was a bit more intimate and in an effort to make it still feel special, I decided to set a whimsical tablescape.

The base of the design was a mossy log that I foraged at a winery in Willamette Valley, Oregon. I then added some felt bunnies and a paper carrot garland, sprinkled hawk feathers and hard boiled brown eggs about, and tucked in some greenery. I used moss to create little nests for hardboiled eggs, which acted as our pacesetting. For my 40th Birthday, my mom got me 4 feather plates, which I pulled off the wall and used for this special occasion. Since browsing around town for Easter goodies was not as easy this year, I pulled from what I had laying around the house and my imagination, which is always fun and feels very satisfying.
