SPIRITUAL KINDLING

I love to make spiritual kindling in the Fall when fire season is upon us. I grab a basket, head to the woods, and gather a variety of plants to bundle together. A few favorite aromatic plants that I like to include are sagebrush, juniper, and pine. If you live in a more temperate climate, grab pepper berry branches or eucalyptus. I top the bundles with a small pinecone, a piece or two of dried citrus, and a stick palo santo.

To assemble, begin by laying two to three pieces of small kindling for the base. Then layer all of the foraged greenery in a nice pattern on top of the kindling. Top with the other accoutrements and tie securely together with a piece o twine or beautiful fabric.

The kindling can be used to set intentions to the universe, celebrate a special occasion, manifest dreams, or just connect with the outdoors. I believe it creates magic!
