ROSEMARY SHORTBREAD COOKIES

One if my fondest memories of childhood were eating my great grandmothers shortbread cookies. Oh, the butter, with bits of pecans for crunch - almost more like Mexican wedding cookie. Lucky for me, my mother saves everything, and when I asked her for great grandmother Faith’s recipe she handed over a little black book full of secrets… family recipes that is. All transcribed in my grandmother Jackie’s beautiful cursive letters. The women in my family were incessant home chefs. I took the base of the family recipe and modified it with fresh rosemary.
